Constitution
1. NAME: The name shall be Tring and Berkhamsted Cycling Campaign.
2. AIMS: To promote cycling and work for the provision of facilities for safe cycling in Tring, Berkhamsted and surrounding villages in Herts and Bucks.
3. MEMBERSHIP: The Campaign offers membership to all who are interested in its aims. Any such person can become a member on payment of the subscription. Members will receive information about the activities and progress of the Campaign.
4. ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION: The annual subscription is due on January 1 each year and shall be set at the Annual General Meeting. For those joining after August 1 the following full year's membership is included.
5. OFFICERS: The officers shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting and shall include a Chair, a Treasurer/ Membership Secretary and a Secretary.
6. QUORUM: A quorum shall consist of three members of whom at least two shall be officers.
7. NOTICE OF MEETINGS: All members must be given at least 14 days notice of an Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meeting.
8. WINDING UP THE CAMPAIGN: A motion to wind up the campaign can be debated at an Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meeting provided the motion is given suitable prominence in the notice of the meeting. If such a motion is passed at a General Meeting then the financial assets remaining after all the liabilities have been met and all other assets shall be donated to an association or associations having related or complementary aims. The association or associations shall be chosen at the meeting.
